On our website, we (IDP) use the “Registration for Public Lecture” and “Registration for Working Groups” contact forms to manage applications and registrations for our digital closing conference. Your data is required and collected to:
- send login information and additional reading material
- inform you about program changes
- have an overview of the number of participants and provide the appropriate infrastructure
The legal basis for processing is Pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (e) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 4 (1) Bavarian Data Protection Act (BayDSG), the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority. This task is: conference registration and organization.
The use of our service (conference registration) is voluntary, but we cannot provide it without your personal data. We process the data provided exclusively to answer your inquiry.
Your personal data will not be disclosed to third parties.
After being collected by LMU, your data is stored for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purpose. Normally, this means that we delete or anonymize your personal data after the end of the event. Existing retention requirements and periods will be observed.
According to the General Data Protection Regulation, you are entitled to the following rights if the legal requirements are met:
- Right of access to information about your personal data being stored (Art. 15 GDPR).
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR).
- Right to erasure and restriction of processing as well as objection to processing (Art. 17, 18, and 21 GDPR).
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
- If you have given consent to processing by LMU by means of a relevant declaration, you can revoke consent at any time for the future. The lawfulness of data processing carried out on the basis of the consent up to revocation is not affected by this.
- If you make use of the rights mentioned above, the relevant department will check whether the legal requirements for this have been met.
